A small mug of heated tinned soup — chicken noodle, tomato, or whatever you have. Warm liquid food with minimal effort.
Chicken noodle soup is classic nausea food for a reason. Half a tin is plenty — do not force a full serving. The salt and warmth help more than the calories.
Serves 1 · 1 min prep · 3 min cook
Open a tin of soup and pour half (about 200ml) into a large mug.
~1 min
Microwave for 2 minutes, stir, then microwave for 1 more minute.
~3 min
Sip slowly from the mug. Refrigerate the other half for later.
Keep 3-4 tins in the cupboard at all times. Heinz, Campbell's, Progresso — whatever you like. Cream-based soups may be harder to tolerate; stick to broth-based.
Vegetable soup for vegetarian. Check labels for gluten-free options. Many brands do gluten-free chicken soup now.
